ThreadCast Support

The Windows paid beta is available now. Check these requirements and support boundaries before purchasing.

Windows and Codex.

ThreadCast's first distribution is designed as a Windows desktop companion for the Codex app. Codex remains the owner of the tasks; ThreadCast reads and controls its own playback of selected task activity.

Your API key and usage.

ThreadCast stores its OpenAI API key in its own local Windows secret file. The buyer is responsible for OpenAI API usage charges, which are separate from the $5 ThreadCast beta price.

Private remote control.

The Android app connects to the Windows companion over loopback or Tailscale. It is not a standalone Codex client and requires the desktop companion to be available.

What to expect from the first release.

The package has a per-user installer, guided API-key setup, an uninstaller, and an isolated fresh-profile launch proof. It is an unsigned early beta, so Windows SmartScreen may show a warning.
